Train-the-trainer seminar

Train-the-trainer seminar held at the BSAA in June 29-30, 2015 in the framework of TEMPUS project «Support to vocational training in sustainable forestry: lifelong learning approach» was focused on delivering knowledge, experience and skills gained by trainers during their training in EU partner Universities. Participants represented rather a heterogeneous group of faculty, civil servants and students. Altogether there were 19 teachers, 2 civil servants and 9 Master students. European members of consortium were represented by Prof. Jordi Camprodon and a researcher Elena Goriz from Centre for forestry research of Catalonia. The seminar addressed issues of international cooperation of the Academy, the implementation of the Bologna Declaration in Russia and BSAA, the development of training programs of continuing education, the application of research results in forest management, outcome based approach in curriculum development. Dmitry Stavnikov, Deputy Director of the Republican Forestry Agency stressed the importance of cooperation of the university, public authorities and businesses in training and qualification upgrading of forestry specialists. Zoya Yampilova made a presentation on the state of implementing Bologna declaration in the RF and BSAA. Alexander Altaev introduced participants to the process of developing LLL curriculum on the example of the thematic module he and Jordi Capmrodon are in charge of. Elena Gorriz made an online presentation of the socio-economic issues in forestry. She acquainted the audience with the project of public involvement in some of the issues of forest management. Her report was complemented by a presentation of Elena Ochirova who together with Elena Goriz is developing a modular curriculum on the topic of social and economic problems of forestry. Presentation of associate professor Erzhena Imeskenovoa concerned the application of Bloom’s taxonomy in the development of training programs and follow-up work in groups concluded a two-day seminar.
